The 2024 F4 Chinese Championship is set to conclude this weekend at the Zhuhai International Circuit, with Pingtan Raxing by Blackjack and Pingtan Raxing by ART entering a joint operation fielding a total of four cars. Alongside star driver Albert Jiang Fukang, three new drivers will be joining the line-up.
Pingtan Raxing by Blackjack driver Albert Jiang Fukang remains a strong contender in the drivers’ championship, despite trailing the current leader by 49 points. With four races remaining and a maximum of 100 points still up for grabs, Jiang is fully aware that the championship outcome is not entirely in his control. Nonetheless, he is determined to push hard and chase the coveted title in the Chinese junior racing categories.
With four overall wins this season, Jiang has shown impressive consistency, keeping him within reach of the championship. However, to close the gap, he will need not only strong results of his own but also some misfortune for his rivals. Every race from here on out is crucial, and Jiang understands that the pressure is mounting as he looks to secure his place at the top of the standings.
Joining the grid this weekend are series newcomers Viktor Turkin, former CEC GT4 driver Cheng Meng, and a yet-to-be-announced fourth driver, injecting fresh excitement into the field. Although none of these drivers have yet competed in the Mygale M21-F4 in full race conditions, they are not arriving unprepared. Each has logged valuable track time in the car and gained critical familiarity with the technical demands of the Zhuhai International Circuit during prior testing sessions.
Though racing intensity differs greatly from practice, Viktor Turkin, Cheng Meng, and their fellow debutant have already shaken down the Mygale chassis and adapted to its handling characteristics. Their initial outings have built the confidence they need to face the fierce competition in the Chinese F4 series.
Cheng Meng will race alongside Albert Jiang in the Pingtan Raxing by Blackjack team, while Viktor Turkin and the fourth driver will represent Pingtan Raxing by ART.
Jack Pang, Team Principal, said: “We want to finish the F4 Chinese Championship on a high note at our home race in Zhuhai. It has been a season where we’ve proven we can win and fight for titles. For this race, we will once again have four cars on the grid, with three new drivers joining the series. Blackjack Racing and Asia Racing Team are proud to continue introducing new drivers to the single-seater scene in China. We are looking forward to an exciting season finale.”
The weekend at Zhuhai will follow the usual four-race format, with qualifying sessions on Friday, followed by two races on Saturday and two more on Sunday.
