Allen Lu will join the Pingtan Raxing Team for the upcoming FIA F4 Chinese Championship race at the 3264km Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit, as well as for the remainder of the season.
Following his almost outstanding performance in the season opener in Shanghai, the Pingtan Raxing Team aims to carry the momentum into the second race of the season with the new Mygale M21-F4. Allen Lu will race alongside the race winner Albert Fukang.
Allen Lu will be taking the seat of Alex Sawer, who won the opening race of the season at the Shanghai International Circuit but has commitments in Europe.
The Chinese driver is no stranger to the team, having joined BlackJack Racing and Asia Racing Team in the 2023 Open Formula Challenge and in the Formula 4 South East Asia (F4 SEA) season finale at Sepang. He had the chance to drive the Mygale M21-F4 for the team in private testing at Ningbo.
Speaking about joining the team, Allen Lu said, “I am pleased to be racing in the FIA F4 Chinese Championship with Blackjack Racing and Asia Racing Team. I am looking forward to learning from the team and keep improving as a driver. I want to gain experience in my first race in Chengdu and prepare for the following races.”

I look forward to him getting behind the wheel alongside Albert and for racing to begin.”
After the first two races of the season, Albert Fukang is leading the Drivers’ Championship standings, followed by Alex Sawer. Pingtan Raxing Team by Blackjack is leading the Teams’ standings.
The second round of the 2024 FIA F4 Chinese Championship officially starts on Friday with two 30-minute Free Practice sessions in the morning, followed by two qualifying sessions in the afternoon. The first two 30-minute races, plus one lap, will take place on Saturday, with the other scheduled for Sunday.
