Pingtan Raxing by Blackjack and Pingtan Raxing by ART concluded the 2024 F4 Chinese Championship with an eventful race weekend at the Zhuhai International Circuit.
Albert Jiang Fukang was one of the main players during the debut season of the Mygale M21-F4 cars in the People’s Republic of China.
After winning the opening race in Shanghai, Albert Jiang was always in contention for the title, but in the final race in Zhuhai, not everything went to plan. He missed out on the podium in the opening race on Saturday, and a technical glitch on his car cost him a good result in the second race later on the day.
On Sunday, Albert Jiang finished again at the podium doors with a fourth place finish. A third place in the last race of the season, and second of the CFGP entries, turned out to be a bit much for a driver who had shown immense talent. He finished third in the drivers’ standings.
In the final race of the season, the Pingtan Raxing teams debuted not one, but three new drivers. Cheng Meng, with prior GT racing experience, had his first taste of top-level single-seater racing. While he demonstrated impressive speed, it didn’t always translate into results.
Despite having no prior karting experience, Kevin Yang demonstrated great potential, though he was forced to retire from two of the four races. However, the weekend finished on a positive note with a spectacular sixth place in the final race, along with a third-place finish in the CFGP class.
Viktor Turkin had his first taste of competition in the F4 category. Eager to learn, the rookie driver secured a podium finish in the Master Class.
Team Principal Jack Pang said: “I want to extend my gratitude to all the drivers and staff. You’ve all done an incredible job this season. We’ve taken a significant step in the right direction, but there’s still much to learn. I promise we will come back stronger than ever. Our goal for 2025 is nothing short of delivering the best formula racing experience in China.”
Pingtan Raxing by Blackjack finished a third in the teams standings as Pingtan Raxing by ART in the tenth.
